Amanda Rea, MFA

Amanda received her MFA from the University of California, Irvine, where she was awarded the Arlene Cheng Graduate Fellowship. Her fiction has appeared in Glimmer Train, Green Mountains Review, Iowa Review and the Indiana Review, and it has been been nominated for Best New American Voices and a Pushcart Prize. She was recently awarded a seven-month fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and in 2008 became the Carl Djerassi Fiction Fellowship at the Insititue of Creative Writing in Wisconsin. She spent two years as director of the Young Writers Program at Lighthouse, and Editor of the Beacon.
