If you've written a few short stories, you've probably thought about trying to collect them into a book. But how? This class will discuss collections clustered by themes, characters, and places, as well as novel-in-stories collections, no-rhyme-or-reason collections, and other ideas, with an eye toward what makes a collection feel like more than the sum of its stories, and also what will make a book of stories appealing to publishers. A reading selection (one book) will be provided in advance of the class.
