"Writing is a form of making, and making humanizes the world," says the memoirist Richard Rhodes. In this workshop, we'll explore the myriad forms that making conjures, and we'll attempt to discover the aspects of voice and story--and humanity--that exist within each of us, and which makes our lives as unique as our signature.
This workshop will conduct extensive workshops of members' writing, along with reading models of great narrative nonfiction--memoir, essay, and true reportage--as a way of learning the craft. Prerequisite: several sessions of other Lighthouse narrative nonfiction workshops, or premission of the instructor.
