Description:
In this class, prose writers and poets will approach their projects by way of character. The first weekend will be devoted to exercises, exploratory writing, discussion, and readings that will deepen your understanding of your characters (or introduce you to new ones) and suggest character-centered ways of discovering form, story, and voice. The second weekend will incorporate a group discussion and reading from your work, as well as brief one-to-one conferences.
Please note: This class meets on two consecutive Saturdays and Sundays--June 7 & 8, and June 14 & 15, from 9:00 AM to Noon.
