As the Association of Writers and Writing Programs' annual conference approaches (only three days away!), we're madly packing our bags and doublechecking schedules. We're excited for some sunny weather (with no threat of snowstorms), but more importantly, we're especially excited to see our fellow literary enthusiasts in San Antonio.

If you're in town for the conference, come find us and say hi; we'll be at T1937, smack in the middle of the book fair, ready to talk Lit Fest, Story FestBook ProjectPoetry Collective, our Grand Lake and Writing in Color retreats, and our ever-growing menu of online and in-person workshops

There will be a lot of Lighthousers participating in the conference, see a sampling below of who's presenting where:

Ramona Ausubel will be discussing All My Hexes Live in Texas: Writing the Weird, Weird West with fellow LH writer Alexander Lumans.

Serena Chopra will be on the panel for a Fulbright Information Session.

Carolina Ebeid will be reading for the  Akrilica Reading and presenting on The Borderlands of Latinx Poetics and Disability Studies panel.

Elisa Gabbert will be reading offsite at The Parish, Friday, March 6th at 7 p.m.

Madelyn Garner will be discussing The Poetry of Pandemic.

Evelyn Hampton will be discussing Celebrating Difficult Women: Acceptance and Accessibility in Experimental Prose.

Andrea Hollander will be moderating “I Leave You This Poem": A Tribute to Chana Bloch.

Alexander Lumans will be on the panel All My Hexes Live in Texas: Writing the Weird, Weird West, and In Order to Be Totally Free: Teaching via the Writing Constraint.

Juan J. Morales will be discussing Editing the Last Wild Places and The Overshare: Navigating Public and Private Identities in the Writing Classroom.

Diana Khoi Nguyen will be presenting on Gratitude as Grit: Poetry of Appreciation in Times of Strife.

Bailey Pittenger will be discussing Celebrating Difficult Women: Acceptance and Accessibility in Experimental Prose with fellow LH writer Evelyn Hampton.

Khadijah Queen will be moderating After Sexual Misconduct: A Community Dialogue for Survivors and Allies, and will also be discussing In Order to Be Totally Free: Teaching via the Writing Constraint with fellow LH writer Alexander Lumans. 

Jacinda Townsend will be on the panel They Must Have Felt: Imagining Emotional Landscape and Place.

Jennifer Wortman will be reading Wednesday, March 4, at 7 pm, at the Rock and Roll Reading event at Retox Bar , and two events at The Cherrity Bar on Thursday, March 5 at 7 pm, at the Split/Lip Press + 7.13 Books Reading, and Friday March 6 at 9:30 pm, at the 3rd Annual Strange Fabulist Reading.

Erika T. Wurth will be on the panel Savage Sunsets: A Memorial Tribute to Adrian C. Louis
