What a gambler's high at the Colorado Book Awards last night, where three Lighthouse members and two Lighthouse faculty were up for awards.  Guess what?  Lighthouse members took the Literary Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Anthology awards, and we were finalists for the historical work awards.

Evidence:

WINNER: Literary Fiction Category (Member Gary Schanbacher's MIGRATION PATTERNS)

WINNER: Creative Nonfiction Category (Member Kim Reid's NO PLACE SAFE)

WINNER: Anthology (Instructor Laura Pritchett's HOME LAND)

FINALIST: History category (instructor Lisa Ray Turner and member Kimberly Field's THE DENVER MINT: 100 YEARS OF GANGSTERS, GOLD, and GHOSTS)

Congratulations, everyone! We so enjoy hitching our wagon to all of your successes--thanks for letting us.
