Cass Eddington is a poet, teacher, and translator from Utah, living in Denver and pursuing a PhD at the University of Denver. Their manuscripts have been finalists for the 2017 Kelsey Street Press Firsts! competition and the Ahsahta Press Sawtooth Poetry Prize competition. In 2019 Cass was awarded a grant from University of Denver to begin a translation project in Berlin. Cass received her MFA from Colorado State University where she also taught in-person creative writing workshops and (from afar) currently develops curriculum and teaches for their online Creative Writing Minor. Cass has also taught ESL/ELL to adult learners, facilitated creative writing workshops with incarcerated youth, and worked in community arts organizing. Some poems can be found on Kelsey Street Press’s blog, and in La Vague, Word For/Word, Otoliths, ditch, and grazing grains miniature collection. They are interested in queer poetics, archival interventions, and community-based acts of making.

Cass has wonderful and warm energy that permeated through all the sessions, creating a welcoming environment. We were introduced to a variety of poetic forms.
