Chris Fischbach

Chris Fischbach became publisher of Coffee House Press in July 2011, after sixteen years in various editorial roles. In his time there, he worked with writers of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction, and acquired nationally award-winning authors such as Kao Kalia Yang, Ben Lerner, Karen Yamashita, Hernan Diaz, Valeria Luisseli, Ron Padgett, Laird Hunt, and dozens of others. He recently left the press to pursue other opportunities, including freelance editing and consulting. He serves on the board of directors of the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop, and formerly on the board of the Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
