4-Week: Flash Prose for Strange Times

$205.00 Members
$230.00 Non-members

So much can happen in so little time. In this course we’ll read and discuss flash prose that uses the surreal, apocalyptic, and speculative as the base for compelling stories, from Monterroso’s eight-word tale to Ray Bradbury’s four-page classic, “All Summer in a Day.” Creative, concise, and powerful, flash fiction is a great way to get ideas down that can later be expanded into longer, more traditional short-stories or exist as powerful narratives on their own. We’ll talk about the form's typical requirements, respond to writing prompts, and share our work and give first-blush feedback.
