Lighthouse North—Expository Fiction

Fiction writers sometimes treat exposition as a necessary evil or a mere means to the dramatic pay-off of scene. Yet some of our best fiction writers make liberal use of exposition. How do they pull it off? When is heavy exposition useful? When does it weigh a narrative down? And what does fiction writer Akhil Sharma mean when he says “exposition always contains tenderness”? To explore these questions, we will read, talk, and write.

Lighthouse North Directions and Parking

Lighthouse North is our new satellite location in Boulder County. Please follow the directions below to find us, as putting the address in your GPS will take you to the wrong place.

From Highway 36, take the McCaslin North exit. At the fourth light, turn west onto Century Drive (there's a Walgreens on the NW corner). Take your first left (daycare on that corner). When the road Y's stay right, and when you get to the stop sign, it's the two story brick building on your right with a sign outside that says Office Evolution. Inside the building, follow the Lighthouse North signs to your conference room.

Parking is free and located around the building.
