Lighthouse North: Hurts So Good—The Emotional Map of Writing Memoir

$0.00 Members
$0.00 Non-members

Panelists: Rachel Weaver, Jenny Shank, and Erika Krouse

Join Rachel Weaver, Jenny Shank, and Erika Krouse for a panel on all the fears, joys, and left hooks that drafting a memoir entails. This will be a frank discussion about what it means to take a long hard look at your own past and begin to shine a light on the truth of it. How do you juggle all the emotions on top of trying to craft the book? How do you know if you are making a fool of yourself? What makes it worth it? Memoirist Tanja Pajevic, author of The Secret Life of Grief, will join us at the end of our discussion to talk a bit about self-care while writing memoir.

Due to concerns over the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Lighthouse is moving all in-person classes to remote participation through Zoom, a simple teleconferencing technology, for the duration the Spring Session. All participants will be emailed guidance for how to use Zoom and will be provided technical support. For detailed instructions on how to use Zoom, see our Participant Zoom Manual here. Please send any questions or concerns to [email protected]

This course or discussion is a part of the Lighthouse North Memoir Intensive. You must register here to attend. Within one business day of your registration for the intensive, a member of our staff will email you with registration instructions for individual courses and panels.
