Summer Writing Camp: Writing Short Stories for ages 11-13 (Denver)

Writing short stories is a fantastic way to develop your storytelling skills! In this camp, we’ll explore the elements of great short story writing: developing ideas, creating characters, building worlds, forming plots and twists. Each day, we’ll complete fun writing exercises and prompts together to build on your story-in-progress. Plus, we’ll read and discuss short story examples so we can figure out how professional writers do it. By the close of this camp, we should all experience the joy of writing “the end” on drafts of our short stories! All genres of fiction writing welcome; no short story experience required.
