September's Writing in Color will feature Writing Paths: A workshop series supporting marginalized voices to publication (Exploring the Traditional vs. Self-Pub Paths). Join NYT bestselling author Sandhya Menon to explore which path is right for you: traditional or self publishing. Sandhya’s been down both, and now she’s breaking down the basics for you. Join in with all the questions—let’s figure out what works best for your writing! This workshop series is intended to support writers from underrepresented groups, including those based on: race, cultural, ethnic, or religious identity; gender identity; sexual orientation; physical, cognitive or emotional disability; and socioeconomic adversity. This event will be followed by the monthly Writing in Color Mixer.

Writing in Color is a program of Lighthouse Writers Workshop focusing on Colorado writers of color. The program includes monthly mixers which aim to connect writers of color with peers to share ideas, inspirations, new work, successes, challenges, and resources to foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive writing community in Colorado.

We'll have light snacks and beverages, and productive conversations—perhaps we'll even make new friends, explore collaborations, build worlds, make magic, etc. All in a day's work. Writing in Color is free.
