Chris Grillot

Chris is a former crime journalist turned screenwriter. Most recently, his horror feature CHATTER was featured on the 2022 Black List. His 2021 Black List thriller BELLA is being produced by Di Novi Pictures. Additionally, he adapted his Crypt TV horror short They Came From Below as a feature for John Wells Productions. He’s also written for FOX Digital, Microsoft, Hayes Bros. Films and is a published short fiction author. Prior to moving to LA, Chris spent much of his early 20s at crime scenes in dangerous neighborhoods, writing stories for New Orleans’ Times-Picayune. He holds a journalism degree from LSU, a screenwriting MFA from UCLA, and is one-third an esquire from an ill-fated stint in law school. He's taught with Lighthouse since 2021.
