Come on a Monday for a taste of the Friday 500 experience; stay for a book release party for Book Project graduates Ted McCombs and Simone Stolzoff, with a Book Project info session to follow.
Schedule:
- 4:30 PM Writing sprint—get an abbreviated, half-hour taste of our popular Friday 500 program in which writers gather to work (the original goal was 500 words on a Friday evening, but adjust accordingly). Bring your laptops, notebooks, or scrolls and get writing.
- 5:00 PM Theodore McCombs and Simone Stolzoff, both graduates of the Book Project, are celebrating their first books in conversation. We're raising a glass to the release of Uranians (McCombs's short story collection) and The Good Enough Job (Stolzoff's nonfiction book) and seeing what natural affinities and surprising connections arise in their conversation afterward. Books will be available for purchase from the Lit Fest Bookstore.
- 6:00 PM Stay after to learn more about the Book Project with a short Q & A session featuring Book Project director William Haywood Henderson.
