Online Summer Writing Camp: Social Justice in Writing for grades 6-8

$200.00 Members
$200.00 Non-members

In this camp, we will explore the intersection of social justice and creative writing. We will examine the ways writers and writing can impact communities and the role that writers and literature play in effecting social change and justice. By the end of the week, we'll have several brand new pieces of writing that reflect the change we want in our community and world, and we'll find some creative way to share these pieces with the world, too.

By registering your child for a workshop, you authorize Lighthouse to use your child’s writing and/or photo in future marketing and/or promotional materials, including electronic formats.

This camp will now be held virtually through Zoom. In addition to the two hours of camp time each day, each young writer will meet once through Zoom with the instructor during the week to discuss individual writing goals. Meeting times will be assigned on the first day of camp.
