Visiting Author Series: Voice for Storytellers with Jennifer Haigh

$75.00 Members

Whether you’re writing a novel or a memoir, a short story or a personal essay, the art is in the telling. Every story has its own voice, individual as a fingerprint, a distinct consciousness that guides the writer’s hand and informs her every choice. In this two-hour craft session, we'll consider questions of form, tone, syntax, and perspective, in the work of four contemporary masters—Joan Didion, Toni Morrison, Don DeLillo, and Richard Ford. Through close reading and in-class writing, you’ll locate and develop the unique voice of the story you want to tell.

Jennifer’s most recent books will be on sale on site.
