Lit Fest 2022 Preview: Q&A with Victoria Chang

Editor's Note: In advance of the March 12 deadline to apply for Lit Fest Advanced Workshops, we've asked the 2022 Visiting Authors for a preview of their workshop style, what they're reading, and more.

What’s the most surprising source of inspiration for you lately? For a while now, perhaps visual art?

What are you working on these days? Related to what I said above, I'm working on some poems related to art. And that takes up any spare time I have.

How would you describe your workshop style? Generous, fun, collaborative, in-depth, hopefully filled with new discoveries.

Any unusual/interesting writing habits? I am such a busy person that I've had to write in all the in-between minutes. If I were to think about this, it's so strange. I've become quite good at quickly entering into a poem to revise, and then going about my regular life not too long after that. Poetry for me is so essential so that I think of it like food or breathing. I'll do anything to get "fed" by poetry.
